The sheer number of diabetic patients with premature CVD has increased worldwide (WHO)! Diabetes has reached endemic proportions in many parts of the world and it is the true ‘pandemic’. There has been increasing recognition that diabetes and associated cardiovascular disease requires special attention. The journal includes a wider interest in related subjects, namely- epidemiology, genetics, clinical trials, drug targets, imaging, basic science and other exciting related subjects.
